Testimonials
In my many years, I have been on this earth, I have said to myself, ‘girl, you need to get in shape.’ This time it seemed a little different.
I went down to Interactive Physical Therapy and Fitness and Darren (their manager and trainer) took me through a workout routine. That was different; I had never worked out on weight machines before.
I was a little skeptical, and said to myself, ‘Well, let’s see how this works.’
It is quite interesting that this type of weight training and the exercise class on Monday, Wednesday and Friday has really helped me so much.
In the 10 months that I have been working out at Interactive, I’m able to get up and down so much better, which tells me my bones and muscles like the workouts. My asthma is better, and I have been able to stop two medications, my lungs must be working better.
Last but not least, I have lost 37 pounds, and I haven’t changed my diet. That tells me that my metabolism has increased.
Thank you Interactive Physical Therapy and Fitness

Interactive Physical Therapy and Fitness is exactly what the name suggests. While providing treatment, they also provide the care and support that is essential to recovery. Since completing therapy and joining the fitness center, the staff has continued to check up and ask “how are those knees doing?” They even called me at home after a fall just to be sure I was okay. These little things are what personalized care and experience you get from Interactive Physical Therapy and Fitness.

Of the many exercise facilities that I have used, Interactive is extremely well-equipped, maintained, and clean with a helpful and friendly professional staff. The security system and the courteous attitude of other members give us confidence when we exercise during off hours and late nights. We enjoy the bright, open feeling of Interactive Physical Therapy and Fitness.

I came to Interactive to get back in shape after numerous
back surgeries and physical injuries. I chose IPTF because I live up
north of
Not wanting to strike out on my own with no guidance, I came to IPTF and spoke
to Darren Falk the Fitness Manager. After explaining my health issues and
concerns, he assured me that he would help me start an exercise program and
that he would instruct me on safe exercises. He's not only done that but
he helped me get into shape without any
pain! Darren started me slowly with written guidelines, determined
which equipment would be best to use, how much weight to start with, frequency
and offered me moral support. He has been my best cheerleader and a
friend. It's been very comforting to find expertise and friendship in the
same place. I'm feeling great - physically and also about my decision to
come to Interactive. Thanks!
Sincerely,
Barb W.
This gym is great! The environment is relaxed, pleasant, and noncompetitive. The employees are friendly and get to know you by name. The equipment is up-to-date and easy to use. Even during “peak time,” there are machines available! Overall, I would have to say joining here was the best choice I have ever made as far as fitness centers are concerned!

A gym can be a very intimidating place. The staff can make all the difference in whether members feel welcome and comfortable. That’s just one factor that sets Interactive Physical Therapy and Fitness apart from others. They genuinely care and take a sincere interest in the health of the members. They are more courteous. They know us by name and demonstrate that we are important to them.

I’ve had a very good experience with my therapy at Interactive Physical Therapy and Fitness. Bob was my main therapist and was very compassionate, encouraging, and very thorough. Ric and the others were also very caring and knowledgeable. The fitness area is clean and has everything one would need to get into shape. Darren and his staff are there to help set you up on a program. I have attended the chair exercise class and found it to be very helpful and fun. I would be the first to recommend both the therapists and fitness center.

Fitness Tips
Warm-up prior to your workout. This allows the blood flow to increase to your muscles and extremities – decreasing your chance for injury and soreness. It will also make for a more effective workout.
Stretch after your cool-down. Stretching promotes joint flexibility and decreases your muscle soreness. Stretching at the end of your workout will be most effective because your muscles are warm and more elastic.
Lift Slowly. When lifting weights, each rep should be done slowly (about 5-6 seconds). You will gain more strength benefits, and you will be less likely to strain a muscle.
Maintain Good Back Health. Most of us will at one time have lower back pain. Two effective methods to alleviate or prevent back problems are: Keep the abdominals strong and keep the hamstrings flexible. When the abdominals are weak, back posture is often compromised causing excessive pressure on the lumber region. When the hamstrings are too tight, the back is often at risk because of compensation bending at the waist.
