Ric Baird, Owner,
PT,
DPT, ATC
Ric grew up in Denton Kansas. He attended Washburn University
graduating in 1991 with his Athletic training Degree. He then
went to obtain his masters in Physical Therapy from Des Moines
University in Iowa in 1994. From 1994 to 1998 he practiced in
Onaga, Kansas at Onaga Community Hospital. He then moved to
Silver Lake and practiced at Advance Rehabilitation and Rebound
Physical Therapy both in Topeka. In 2003 he noticed a void in
the North Topeka area of Physical Therapy Clinics and decided to
open Interactive Physical Therapy which opened in January of
2003. In April of 2004 Interactive Physical Therapy expanded
from 1100 square feet of space to 7000 square feet and opened
Interactive Physical Therapy and Wellness Center. In 2010
Interactive Physical Therapy and Wellness moved again into 8000
square feet of space. We currently offer 24 hour/7 day a week
access to our wellness center and offer outpatient physical
therapy as well. In 2010, Ric completed his Doctor of Physical
Therapy Degree from Des Moines University. Ric enjoys the
hands-on manual patient care working with orthopedic related
injuries and post-operative conditions. With his background in
athletic training he enjoys working with the area athletes from
Seaman High School, Royal Valley High School, Silver Lake High
School and Jefferson West High School who have been injured or
are recovering from a sports related injury.
Ric lives outside of Silver Lake with his wife, Anne and their 4
children. Blake is a sophomore at SLHS, Cole is an 8th grader,
Keenan is a 5th grader and Ella is a 3rd grader. They enjoy
attending the many sporting and various other events that the
kids are involved in. Additionally, they enjoy camping and
outdoor activities.
Ric and Anne consider it a privilege to own and operate a
business in North Topeka. They enjoy the community and are
active members at Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church in
North Topeka. On a personal note they have lost over 87 lbs
together and are now offering a new dynamic lifestyle
modification and weight management program in their clinic and
wellness center as well.

Bekah
Berkley, CPTA
Bekah joined Interactive full time
in January of 2009. She is a graduate of Washburn University
where she received an Associate’s Degree as a physical therapy
assistant and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education.
Bekah started her career in July of 2007 working part time at
Interactive Physical Therapy and St. Francis Health Center. She
was born and raised in Lawrence, KS and is an avid Jayhawk fan!
She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling
and playing sports.

Jenna Hamilton, DPT
Jenna is a recent graduate from the physical therapy program at
the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City where she
received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Prior to that she
received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the
University of Kansas. Jenna has an interest in working with
athletes and the youth but enjoys all aspects of physical
therapy. Her favorite elements of her job are getting to know
people and helping them achieve their goals. Outside of work,
Jenna enjoys staying active in recreational sports such as
volleyball, softball, and racquetball. She also treasures the
opportunity to volunteer with a variety of organizations. Jenna
married her high school sweetheart, Nick, in 2009. They keep
busy at home on their own little mini-farm with cows, chickens,
and a sizeable garden. Jenna is excited to have returned home to
work with the compassionate people of the Topeka area. |

Darren Falk,
Fitness Manager
Darren is
originally from Silver Lake. He went on to graduate from Kansas
State University with a B.S. in Kinesiology - Exercise Science.
Darren is a certified Senior Strength Trainer and a certified
personal trainer.
He has worked in health and fitness in hospital-based settings
as well as community fitness facilities. Throughout his career,
Darren has held various roles including: personal training,
exercise consulting, fitness testing, program developing,
instructing, health promoting, etc.
With regards to exercise, Darren's strives to ensure that
members have an environment that is not intimidating and that
they are not made to feel inferior about what they can or can't
do. He has excellent skills for adapting exercise to an
individual based on their own fitness level.
Darren and his wife, Julie, and daughter, Jadan, live in Silver
Lake.

Lisa
Lisa joined Interactive Physical
Therapy and Fitness in October 2008 as the receptionist. She is
originally from south of Topeka, where she graduated from
Washburn Rural High School. Lisa attended Kansas State
University and Allen County Community College. Lisa enjoys
gardening, camping and any other activity that involves the
outdoors. She and her husband Scott are kept busy with the
activities of their three boys, Bret, Brett and Corbin. |
